Conventional toothpastes contain irritating surfactants (SLS), fluoride, synthetic sweeteners and sometimes titanium dioxide. Ours takes the other road<\/strong>: vegetable glycerine, white clay for gentle mechanical polishing, sea salt for a cleansing effect, three essential oils for natural freshness. That is all.<\/p>\n Is a jar hygienic?<\/strong> As long as you dip your toothbrush in dry<\/strong>, not wet, no bacteria get into the jar. That is the common mistake to avoid.<\/p>\n Good to know:<\/strong> the texture differs from mass-market toothpastes (less foam, more earthy, clay-like). That is normal and intentional<\/strong> \u2014 it shows there are no synthetic surfactants.<\/p>\n Three reasons: simplicity<\/strong> (pick it up straight with the brush), ecology<\/strong> (glass is endlessly recyclable, unlike plastic tubes), and dissatisfaction<\/strong> with the solid toothpastes on the market. We wanted a plastic-free toothpaste that is practical, with no compromise on everyday use.<\/p>\n The ravintsara essential oil in this toothpaste comes entirely from our own plantation in Sahambavy<\/strong>, on the Highlands of Madagascar.
